I've been wondering if Bri had an ear infection for about a week now. She had no fever, and only occasionally pulled on her ear. She's also been teething, and pulling on my body parts (exploring), so I didn't think I could trust that as a sign. She's been super fussy at night too, but I thought maybe teething. I figured if she had an ear infection she'd be fussy during the day too.
I bought Parenting Magazine today to check it out (it's a good mag!), and it happened to have an article on ear infections. It was actually about not choosing antibiotics everytime, but anyhow, it mentioned that lying down puts pressure on the ears, and therefore fussy at nighttime may well in fact equal ear infection. So, just to be safe, we took her to the walk in clinic. We got a nice doctor, and it seems that she has a mild inflammation of the ears, but she has tonsilitis for sure. She's going to be on Amoxicillan for 10 days, and then (unless she doesn't seem to get any better) she has to go back for a check up. Hopefully, I shall be able to get some sleep soon. I think 8 months sickness free is pretty good. :)
