Last night Bri ate a whole jar (4 1/2 ounces) of wax beans. She thinks beans are yummy. She also still ate her 1/8 of a cup cereal and at least 4 ounces of formula. She must be feeling better. Last night she slept all the way until 4 am (she woke a few times before that, but we have company and she always wakes up a lot if we have people over) but then she wouldn't go back to sleep and kicked me in the back until 7am. Me sleepy.
She's eight months old today! That means only four months until she's a year old. Time flies quickly. After Christmas I'm going to have to start planning her birthday party. Wow. So, here's the book stuff for this month:
What Bri SHOULD be able to do:
*Sit without support - Bri just started mastering this a few weeks ago. It's cool.
*feed self a cracker - I bet she could, but the doc said no finger foods yet.
*Razz (buzz with her tongue) - she does this all the time. She even tries to do it with her pacifier in her mouth. She thinks it's really funny.
Will PROBABLY be able to do:
*Object if you try to take a toy away - just a few days ago I took her xylophone away because it was lunch time and she cried. :(
*Work to get a toy out of reach - Mike was practicing this this morning. Bri was reaching sooo hard, it was cute.
*Pass an object from one hand to the other - Bri started that last month, and is now getting the hang of it.
*Turn in the direction of a voice - no problem.
She can't do any of the other things (bear weight on legs, babble mamama, play patty cake, wave bye-bye, etc). Next month she will probably start crawling or something as equally horrifying. I don't think she'll wait too long to start talking. And that's it! She has to have a doc's appt next week sometime so I'll be sure to post about that. I'm hoping I can get them to weigh her. :)
