First Update: Brianna Version 1.0
Brianna's very first birthday was on Sunday. We had a great big party for her, and lots of people came. Many bearing gifts. We're still opening boxes and putting them together. :) Even though she slept through half of it, Bri enjoyed her party. She liked to open all her presents, and she really liked eating her cake. Thanks to everyone for coming. :)
Here's the big book update. By the end of the 11th month Bri -
SHOULD be doing:
*get into a sitting position from stomach - yup.
*pick up tiny object with thumb and forefinger - yup. Mmm cat food.
*understand "no" (but not always obey it) - I'm not sure. She sure doesn't obey it, but sometimes if you tell her no she throws a fit.
PROBABLY be able to:
*clap hand or wave bye bye - she claps. No bye bye.
*cruise furniture - yup
May POSSIBLY be able to:
*pick up a tuny object neatly with thumb and forefinger - yup.
May EVEN be able to:
*play ball (roll back back to you) - I'm not sure if what Bri does counts. She does like to roll the ball back and forth, but she usually hits the ball untel it moves towards me.
Talking and walking are the other things that Bri might have been able to do, but she can't walk yet, nor does she seem to be talking at all. She still says a lot of "dadada doh!".
Second update - Bri's last pediatrican's appointment
Bri saw the doctor today. This is the last time she will see the pediatrician, she's off to the regular famlily doctor's now. She had her MMR shot, and wasn't too happy about that. She got over it pretty quickly, even though she has a great big blotch on her arm. :( She is still 29 inches long but is 20 pounds, 12 ounces now. She's growing pretty good. The doc said that she's a go for milk now, and since I managed to knock her last bottle all over the place, she's having some tonight. :) He also said she's cool for forward facing in the car (yay!) so that's going to happen this weekend. Mike has to install the tether and stuff. So, that's it. The developmentalist comes later this month, and I'm sure Bri will do something interesting before then. :)
