I'm a little late, I couldn't get on the computer yesterday. Anyways, the little weasel is TWENTY MONTHS OLD! Do you know what this means? Only 4 more months until she's 2. Here's her book update.
Bri SHOULD be able to:
*dump an object in imitation - yup.
*use a spoon/fork (but not exclusively) - yup, but like I said before, she's gone back to using her hands a lot.
*run - yup. She falls over a lot when she does that though.
May POSSIBLY be able to:
*combine words - I do think so, yes. Today she said "bye bye nana" a bunch of times, so I guess nana is her word for Grandma. Plus she sayd Hi daddy and Go Away and stuff like that.
*identify one picture by naming - I am still not sure what this means. She can point to a cat, dog, ball, sun, etc and say the word as she points. If I ask her what it is, she looks at me like I'm an idiot. But she will find her frog foam shape if I ask her.
*name 6 body parts - She says feet, eyes, ears, hair, mouth, knees, and can point to her nose and her tummy.
*throw a ball overhand - yup.
*speak and be understood about 1/2 the time - I'm not sure on her percentages for english vs baby babble. Probably close to 1/2 the time.
May EVEN be able to:
*build a tower of 6 cubes - I think she can do this, but I am not sure.
The was no "probably" section for this month. The other ones were use 50+ words, and I don't think she's quite that far up. Close though, I think. The other is "identify 4 pictures by pointing" and I'm not sure what that wording means. If it's she points to it and says what it is, yes. If I have to ask, no.
