At 12:28 PM, Jennifer scribbled...

I'm a little late with Bri's update. She's 21 months old now. She does all kinds of smart things now. When there were penguins on TV, she brought a stuffed penguin up to it. But she does bad things too, she's been hitting a fair amount and nothing we do seems to discourage it. She's got more new words too, but I can never remember them. She says so much it's hard to remember what's new and what's not.

By the end of the 21st month Bri SHOULD be able to:
*bulid a tower of 2 cubes - she can stack up 10.
*Point to one body part when asked - she can do neck, cheeks, eyes, nose, mouth, hair, knees, feet, toes and belly button.

Will PROBABLY be able to:
*Kick a ball forward - I've been trying ot teach her this, but she doesn't do it often. I think she does it more by accident.
*Identify two pictures by pointing - as I said before, I'm not sure what they mean by this. Mike says she'll point to stuff in books when she's asked, but she hasn't done it for me.
*Remove an article of clothing - she can take her shoes and socks off, and her pajamas, if they have snaps. She's been close to taking her pants off.

May POSSIBLY be able to:
*Brush her teeth, with help - if brushing her teeth consists of wiggling the toothbrush while chomping on it, than yes. ;)

May EVEN be able to:
*Put on an article of clothing - she can put her own socks on, and if the shoes are velcro, she can put those on too. She helps a lot when you put her shirts on, but she can't do that herself yet.
