At 11:11 AM, Jennifer scribbled...

Havent posted in a bit, we`ve been busy again. We got a puppy last week which has been taking up most of our time. Her name is DeeDee and shes a black Lab.

Bri is the same old kid, talks a lot and is becoming a little mouthy, which is to be expected for her age. However, she just `turned` 2 1/2, so I have a book update. :)

SHOULD be able to:
*Brush teeth, with help - sort of, she kind of chews the brush.
*Build a tower of 6 blocks - enough with the blocks already, yes.

Will PROBABLY be able to:
*draw a vertical line in imitation - yes. I think she is trying to draw stick people now too, but I may be wrong.
*Balance on each foot for 1 second - Mike thinks she can, I am skeptical.
*Identify a friend by naming - she remembers kids she hasnt seen in months.
*Carry on a converstation of 2 or 3 sentances - yes.
*Build a tower of 8 cubes - yes.
*Wash and dry hands - if she could reach the sink, yes.
*Use prepositions - yes.

May POSSIBLY be able to:
*Identify 1 colour - um, she knows all the basics. Nothing like chartreuse, but hey. ;)
*Use two adjectives - yup.

May EVEN be able to:
*Count one block - Bri can accurately count up to five objects, after that she starts making things up.

The thinsg she cant do are physical, like she cant really balance well or jump yet. We are considering enrolling her in a dance or gymnastic program to help her out in the coordination department. Its not really her fault, her mom is clumsy too. ;)

It seems she is very ahead on a few things, if the book can be believed - when shes three the May Even category includes identifying 4 colours (Bri knows at least 8) and copying a circle. Shes been drawing circle type objects for over a year and naming them as such.
