At 8:40 PM, Jennifer scribbled...

Serena is 4 months old today. And she is huge. She had a doctor's appt, and she is 25 inches long, and 15 pounds, give or take a few ounces. The doc doesn't bother to strip her, and with her clothes and (cloth diaper) on, she was 15 pounds, 4 oz. I'd say she's close to the top percentile in both of these things (my books chart only has precise points at 6 months), at least 75th.

She didn't even cry when she got her shot. She just started yelling in frantic delight. Weirdo.

Serena SHOULD be able to:
*On stomach, lift head 90 degrees - yes.
*laugh out loud - yup, mighty cute.
*F0llow object from one side of her face to the other - yes.

PROBABLY be able to:
*Hold head steady when upright - she's a little bobbly, but not too bad anymore.

*On stomach, raise chest supported by arms - yes, but she really likes to sort of balance on her belly button.
*Roll over (one way) - yes, although she did it twice that one day, and not again.

*grasp a rattle held to back or tips of fingers - yes, and then eat it.
*Pay attention to a raisin or other small object - we don't test that theory here, due to said eating.
*Reach for an object - yup.

*Squeal in delight - it's more like "Ach!", but yes.

May POSSIBLY be able to:
*Keep head level with body when pulled to sitting - yup.
*turn in the direction of a voice - yup.
*Say ah-goo or similar combo - it used to be more frequent.
*razz (tongue buzz-y noise) - yes, but she does it with her lips.

May EVEN be able to:
*bear some weight on legs when held upright - yes.

There's only two things she doesn't do on the May Even list, and that's sit without support and object of you take her toys away.
