At 2:37 PM, Jennifer scribbled...

Stupid holiday season, makes me busy.

Anyhoo, I have a bunch of pics scanned in, I still have to code them. Brianna had an optometrist appt last night, and it went well. So far her eyes seem fine, she goes back in six months. Serena is learning how to crawl, she is starting to go forwards now, just very slowly and floppy.

Also, Serena is 7 months old now, so here's her progress report.

SHOULD be able to:
*Sit without support - you know, she can only do this for a little while. Maybe I should help her practice more.
*Feed self a cracker - she has mastered the motion of hand to mouth, but I don't think she's ready for crackers.
*razz - for months now, it's her favorite thing to do.

PROBABLY be able to:
*bear some weight on legs - yup.
*object if you try to take a toy away - yep. Especially if it was some piece of paper she was eating.
*work to geta toy out of reach - yes, and yesterday she was still crawling backwards, so that made her real angry.
*pass something from one hand to the other - I'm not sure...maybe?
*look for dropped object - yes.
*rake a raisin and pick it up in fist - yup. She was fond of tossing around a french fry last night.
*turn in the direction of a voice - yup, especially daddy's.
*babble (mamama, etc) - yes, but not often.

May POSSIBLY be able to:
*stand holding onto someone or something - for a very short period of time, and I haven't tried attaching her to an object.

May EVEN be able to:
*pick up tiny object with thumb and forefinger - yup. Master of the pinch.

She doesn't play peekaboo, pull up, cruise, get to sitting by herself or play patty cake. She could probably sit if she'd just realize that ab crunches are not the way to go.
