At 1:02 PM, Jennifer scribbled...

Serena is 8 months old. She has started mostly crawling. She still flops, but achieves forward momentum on a consistent basis, so I think that's as good as she's getting.

SHOULD be able to:
*bear some weight on legs when held upright - She can, but crumples quickly. Poor fat baby.
*feed self a cracker - yes, but a lot of it doesn't get consumed, judt smeared.
*pass a cube from one had to the other - yes.
*rake a raisin and pick it up in fist - she prefers the pincer grasp, but yes.
*turn in the direction of a voice - yes.
*look for a dropped object - yes.

PROBABLY be able to:
*stand holding on to someone/thing - yes, she balances ok.
*object if you try to take a toy away - oui.
*work to get a toy out of reach - yes, and her favorites are things she can't have, such as electrical wires.

POSSIBLY be able to:
*pick up a tiny object with any part of thumb and forefinger - yes.

Not a lot she can do this month. I think she is too fat. No walking or getting into a sitting position by herself. She also doesn't play peekaboo or pattycake, but we haven't really encouraged it either. He favorite games are roaring back and forth and making ble-be-ble-be noises (when you flip your lip with your finger, you know?).
