Since apparently this is National Week of Webpage Critique by Strangers, let me clarify why there are no pictures on my site right now, which if you had been following along, you'd know why.
First, I went over my limit and had to delete, oh, everything. Then I got some more space, but that required recoding things. I have a handle on that now, but I rebooted my computer and that seems to mean I can no longer access my FTP site. Sympatico always screams "not my fault!" whenever you call them on internet related support, so I don't even know why they have a call center. I assume it's to give jobs to idiot children of higher ups. Rob is going to come over and see if he can fiddle with the damn thing, but that will take a bit. Happy now, Random Stranger?
Now that that unpleasantness is over, on to children. Bri had a birthday party, she is now four. :( She had a lot of fun at her party and got no less than 6 different craft activities. her favorite present seems to be three books I picked up for her just as an extra thing. I was suprised she loved them so much. God knows when I'll have pictures, we don't take as many these days, and the roll is only half full. I have a bunch of new ones from the old roll - but until I can upload you don't get to see them.
Serena is 10 months old already. She is cruising around the furniture now, so it won't be long until she's walking. Mike and I both think it'll be before her birthday. Other than that, she is mostly the same baby she was last month, but gets angrier because she knows what she wants now.
SHOULD be able to:
*stand holding onto someone or something - for a while now.
*pull up to standing from sitting - for awhile.
*object if you try to take a toy away - much screaming of the weasel.
*play peek-a-boo - sort of. It amuses her when you do it, but she has never initiated it.
PROBABLY be able to:
*get into a sitting position from stomach - yes, just recently.
*clap or wave - she does both.
*use pincer grasp - forever.
*Cruise - yes.
*understand 'no' - yes, it makes her cry.
May EVEN be able to:
*pick up a tiny object neatly with tips of thumb and forefinger - yes, and deposit it just as neatly in her mouth.
There are lots of things she can't do, one of which is a
should, I guess she should be saying mama and dada (although not necessarily meaning it) at this point. She does occasionally say mama, but dada has not come out in forever. She doesn't babble the way Bri did - but Bri didn't even crawl until now either. The rest all relates to walking and talking for the most part.
In other news, we are looking at moving, we're starting house shopping tomorrow. After we find one we like, we'll put this one up and see where that takes us.
