At 5:53 PM, Jennifer scribbled...

Katie's birthday is tomorrow, wah. :( She is starting to stand without holding on to things, so she'll be walking soon. She's grown a couple of teeth too. Doesn't speak english yet though.

The older two started swimming, but Serena dropped out after two sessions. It was really weird, and she wouldn't give me a reason. She eventually came up with it was no fun because the instructor was a boy, but I don't think that was really it. We'll try that again in the new year. Bri has been trying very hard to pass level 1, we'll find out tomorrow if she made it. It said in the guide that it often takes 4 or 5 times to pass, so I have been trying to stress that. Speaking of the new guide, it's out and it's time to pick new things to do. It's not like London, there are very very few city run programs. Your choice of ballet or swimming. Everything else is ads for private studios. Makes it more expensive. :( I think we're going to sign Serena up for gymnastics, I think an hour to run around like a crazy fool will be good for her. I am hoping for Bri to audition for the children's theatre here, but we'll see. It's also not as well run as the one in London either. If she doesn't get a part, I think we'll go for Girl Guides. If all else fails, I get cookies. Mmm.

Other than the lousy programming, this place is pretty good. The pool is a 20 minute walk away, and on the way is shopping! There's a huge Bonnie Togs (children's clothing store) which may cause a divorce, we'll see. There's also a bookstore, but I have so far managed to avoid it. Tomorrow is BuskerFest, which looks neat.

Oh, and IMO, the addition goes good. Mike's got lots of load bearing walls up. There's a bit of a learning curve, and it doesn't help that Mike is Mr Anal ("It's off half a millimetre. I have to fix it."), but I think it's going well.
