The Katie, she walks. But only a little bit. She still prefers to crawl, but it talking more steps and only crawling when she falls over. She can't get to standing by herself yet though, she needs to pull up on something first. For posterity, I shall record here that she took her first real steps on the 14th. Because her baby book is somewhere in the basement.

Bri started Sparks and as expected, she loves it. Tonight is night 2 and she has her little uniform and is very excited.

Tomorrow is meet the teacher night, I'm looking forward to that. Bri got a reading buddy a few days ago, and I think that's going ok. The other girl (who's name is Brianne) is in grade 5 at least, so should be a few reading levels up on Bri. From what I gather, the buddy reads a book aloud, pointing at words they want the younger kid to try to read. Bri said she read all her words and her buddy kept calling her "smart girl".

Katie's name, as it turns out, is very popular in Waterloo. Every second kid is named Katie. I guess I'm going to have to start calling her Katherine or something. The baby next door is named Kate (she's a bit older), Jenn's daughter is Caity (Caitlin) and Bri's new best friend at school is Katie (Katherine). Gah.
